Ceramic balls
The ceramic ball is the most widely used catalyst and adsorbent bed support media in refining, petrochemical, and gas processing applications, with unmatched impact resistance, thermal shock, crush strength and survivability. In hydroprocessing, the operational condiions are very demanding, both in temperature and pressure. Our ceramic ball is designed to withstand these conditions and provide optimal performance in all hydroprocessing conditions.
The ceramic balls are extremely hard, inert, synthetic aluminosilicates. The ceramic balls consist out the mineral Mullit, a natural silica structure based on AI2O3 and SiO2.
Sizes
1/8", 1/4", 3/4", 1/2" and 1".
Typical properties
Ceramic balls are used for improving the gas/liquid flow distribution in adsorber beds of dynamic adsorption processes.
Packaging information
Ceramic balls are available in the following packaging, drums and big bags.
Handling & storage recommendations
During handling precautions should be taken against electrostatic discharges. Storage in a dry warehouse is recommended. Open packages should be resealed to prevent contamination and adsorption of water or other gases and vapors.
Health & safety information
Infomation can be found in the MSDS.
